I’m not really one to engage in much of a theoretical debate about social change. My bottom line is, I believe it’s much easier to create large, meaningful change than we, as a nation or a world, think. I often have said, if people took the energy they put into trying to convince me that my efforts were futile and put just that much towards working with me or doing one positive thing, we’d be that much further ahead. The resistance, complacency and negativity that get in the way, in my opinion, often come from the lack of proper information. People base their opinions on the ideas in their heads that either come from the influences around them, life experiences or sometimes, just plain bad information. I hope to provide many encouraging, positive, accurate, thought-provoking views that will challenge our beliefs about our mental, emotional, physical and social well-being, the education, justice, social service and mental health systems, providing guidance based on my years of education and experience in my articles in this category. And, I’ll always leave room to discuss the latest from other experts and research.
